If they can do it, what is our excuse.

I didn't realize it had been over a year since I had blogged. I got very busy and got out the habit of posting on here. An update since I last posted. I got into the Rural Medicine Program at Auburn and am starting UASOM at UAB in Birmingham on July 26th. Not too far away. This past year in the program has been awesome. I have learned a lot and have an awesome group of friends. That is the quick version of the last year+ of my life.

The reason I came back to post is because I really had something weighing on my mind and my heart and I saw a video today that made me hope for things to change. America has become so polarized over the last year + and it continues to get worse. We have forgotten all that makes us similar and instead focused on what makes us different. In case you are wondering, we have a lot more similarities than we do differences. That being said, I hope and pray that things will get better but I feel they will only worsen before that.

If you have read this blog before you know I like to post videos with my posts. This goes along with my post and I leave you with the sign off words of the CBS correspondent in the video, "If they can do it, what is our excuse."
